(Original text concerning journal layout is as follows: "The base code for this journal was written by ^thespook and can be found here - it's part of his Creative Journal CSS tutorial, and is free for anyone to use and modify.")
You use the layout at your own risk, if you somehow damage your computer using the code contained in this site I can not be held accountable under any circumstances.
Basically, the code is offered as is.
All the site contents is including imagery, code examples, audio (music, podcasts), video and textual (articles) is offered under the Attribution-Noncommercial-Share Alike 3.0 Unported license, unless otherwise stated (most of my code examples are actually released under the GNU GPLv3, but I like blanket conditions :B).
Naturally my moral rights, as mentioned on the license page, are uneffected, so I ask that you don't use what I make in any form of 'bad things', including, but not limited to, hate speech, racism, sexism, homophobia, 'negative propaganda' (if you really need to use my stuff for propaganda, I'd say you're propaganda machine needs a lot of help), pornography and anything else I can't think of at the moment.
With that in mind, however, I would point out that if you really need to use my content for things that you may think I may not want it to be used for, just ask, the worst I can say is No.
If you want to make money with some whelp from what I have made, then please ask me. Likewise, if you want to make money with help from what I have made, but don't want to release your work under the same license I am using, then definitely ask me :B.
Third Party code
The site uses MagpieRSS for parsing the RSS feeds used for the Link Blog and Podcast pages, and is available under the GNU General Public License (which version was not mentioned, so I presume it is the latest version).

Privacy
Data Collection and Usage
The following information is collected by this site.
Site Logs
By visiting this website, logs are created that are used for statistical purposes. Information such as your Browser, OS, IP Address, Referer (the page that you came from, if you clicked a link to get to this website), Pages Visited, Number of Times Visited, Time Spent and Time Visited are all recorded.
For the most part, most of this information is collected in a disassociative manner, for example, the amount of time spent on the website can't be attached to any one IP address.
Other information is associatively collected. For example, the number of times visited, and the pages visited, are attached to individual IP addresses.
All this information, as already mentioned, is used for statistical purposes, so, essentially, I can get some pretty graphics to show up if I am so inclined to know how many page views my website has recieved, or exactly how many kilobytes of bandwidth I have used.
Contact Comment Form
The contact forms on the Contact and Compatibility pages collect the following information
- Name
- E-mail Address
- Subject
- User Agent
- Any information you write in the comment box itself
The e-mail address is mandatory, due to the fact that the contact form itself sends an e-mail when you click on Send to my e-mail address. Meaning that, if you want a reply, you simply must include an e-mail address.
The User Agent is a string of text telling me various information about the browser that sent the form.
An example of a User Agent would beMozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8) Gecko/20051111 Firefox/1.5. What this tells me is that the browser is Firefox 1.5 with the US English localisation, running on Windows XP.
There is more information in that user agent string, such as the build version of the rendering engine (the Gecko bit), as well as the cipher capability of the browser (the U bit). Most of this information, however, is not available in most other user agent strings, so most of this information is ignored by me.
If you're interested, your User Agent String is
CCBot/1.0 (+http://www.commoncrawl.org/bot.html).Cookies
One cookie can be stored on your computer, as a result of using this site. And will only be stored on your computer if you select 'Remember Me', in the Contact form on the Contact page.
The information in the cookie will persist for upto one year (presuming you don't clear your internet cache regularly), and stores the name and e-mail address that you entered.

Rest assured, any information that I recieve, either directly from you, or indirectly as a result of you simply visiting this website, will not be sold, or otherwise be made available to any other person, group, or company. Under any circumstances.
Also, all communications will be made confidentially, and, if said communcation is intended to be displayed on this website (for example, you have a question that I feel should be addressed on this site), the communications will be displayed anonymously, by default, unless you specify otherwise.
Please note, that, on the rare occasion, I may display some statistics about various things to do with this site (for example, the percentage of people using a certain browser), however, all such statistical information (almost by the nature of statistcal information), is anonymous.
With regards to actual spam, I will not be sending an e-mail to any one (unless there are special circumstances that warrent it), I will only reply to e-mails that are sent to me.
