About Me
What? You want to know even more about me? Do I not talk about myself enough in my podcasts and blog entries? Does my Link Blog not show you what I am up to and what I like? Yes? But you want to know more?
I suppose that can be arranged
I guess the basics are a good place to start, my name is Lewis, I am precisely 23 years, 1 month, 6 days, 15 hours, 48 minutes, 36 seconds old (yes, I used a PHP script to work it out), and I live in Brighton, which is situated on the South East coast of England.
Most of my interests cover those of a technical nature, the two primaries of which are Physics and Website Development.
Physics has always interested me, since I like learning how things work and I have a good enough imagination to visualise some physics, though, of course, I am a bit crap at the maths side, which put an end to any possible career in the subject.
Website Development is, by comparison, a fairly recent interest (I first seriously got into it about three years ago). I like making things, however, I can't build stuff very well, and I am not that good at making electronics (of course, I can put together a PC just fine). So going with software seemed a logical choice for me.
I mainly went into website development, because from what I have seen, it seems to have a easier learning curve than going directly into application development, that, and, website development has more of an instant reward thing going on too.
Of course, I have other interests, naturally, I enjoy photography, and looking at other pretty pictures, and obviously I have a strong interest in technology.
You'll notice that I probably (or will probably) talk about deviantART, of all the places I visit on the internet, dA is probably the site that gets the most amount of traffic from me. That aside, I am also a MN@ (Messaging Network Administrator) there too. Which essentially means that I hang around the chat rooms in my spare time and try to keep the peace. I can also be found in the forums generally being a pain in the arse.
There is actually little else that I can think of. Most of anything else, you'll probably learn from my blog posts and podcasts, so it's probably good that I don't give it all away right here and now.
About the Site
This site, like many personal sites was born due to having too much time on my hands and now having much to do with it.
After some persuasion, I decided to do a podcast. However, my then current site (now located at lewisupperton.com) was not really intended for personal blogging (it's my portfolio website). So I thought "I'll just make a new site for it. I mean, it's not like I have anything better to do with my time".
And so, this site was born, at least conceptually anyway.
In the process of fleshing out my podcast, after having visited koopseht.net, I decided to make my own 'lifestream' (which I've called a 'link blog', because that is what it is :B). So, I spent the afternoon (and most of the night) making such a lifestream.
I then decided that I had come this far, that I might as well add a normal text blog to the whole thing too, so I grabbed a system that I had previously made and included it.
For the design, I found the Journal CSS: simple skin by ^thespook (those of keen eyes will notice that koopseht is thespook backwards, since they are the same person... what? I'm not stalking him, honest :B), of which the design I modified slightly (very slighty), and used for this website.
This site itself was written exclusively in Notepad++, using XAMPP to test with, and tested in Firefox 2, Internet Explorer 7 and Safari 3 beta (I've still yet to test in other browsers, but the design should work given how simple it is).

Links
I know, I know, "what's the point of having links when the homepage is nothing but links?".
Yeah, I know that this bit may seem a little silly, but the reason why it's here is because only the latest 50 links are shown on the homepage, and some of those links I want to be permanently available, so, that's the whole point of this list.
